What’s Expected from the Affiliate?

The selected Affiliate will be responsible for offering high-level support to small businesses in Northern California. This includes providing no-cost consulting and training tailored to the needs of these businesses. While the Affiliate will be free to design their program and service delivery methods, the Lead Center will oversee all activities through monthly check-ins and periodic reporting.

The primary service funded by SBDC is consulting and training. The Affiliate will be expected to design and offer top-notch consulting services to enhance the skills and knowledge of existing and budding small business owners/managers. This consulting process will involve in-depth communication between the client and the counselor, focusing on identifying and addressing the client’s needs and challenges.

The Affiliate will assist businesses in various areas, including management, marketing, financing, strategic planning, and more. All consulting services will be free of charge, and all consultants must pass the Norcal SBDC Business Advisor certification.

Additionally, the Affiliate may organize training sessions or workshops relevant to groups of small business owners or entrepreneurs. These workshops must be free and accessible for all participants and can be conducted online and offline.

Performance and Financial Reporting:

The Affiliate will be required to track their services and successes using the NeoSerra online tracking system. They must also submit quarterly performance reports and monthly invoices for reimbursement. All records related to this agreement must be preserved for three years.
