Concrete Craftsman is a highly reputable design studio established in 2010. Owned and started by Paul Neall, this company specializes in the production of high quality Handmade Artisan Concrete.
Born into a family of craftsmen, Paul went on to start his own business dedicated to making unique pieces out of concrete. It was after the devastating economy crash of 2008, which left Paul jobless, that he decided to pursue his passion for concrete crafting that would later on turn into a successful business.

After meeting with Keith Holtaway, one of our very well known advisors, some takeaways included creating a well structured business plan that would potentially allow for the growth of Concrete Craftsman, given Paul’s struggles with keeping up with increasing demand. In order to ensure a successful outcome, financial mentorship was also needed to establish clear goals and to prepare accurate financial projections, therefore providing a more solid structure to work on both scaling the business and preparing a marketing strategy, based on Paul’s goal to transition to an online marketplace with a new sand and cement product line.

In hopes of developing a digital marketing strategy, Paul signed up for the SBDC’s Clicks2Bricks program where aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners are given the necessary tools to start and grow an effective e-commerce website and business strategy. Highly pleased after the completion of the training, Paul mentioned “Clicks2Bricks opened our eyes to some of the other services like Shopify and the best platforms to use for e-commerce websites and showed us the tools you need to get there.”

At present, it is very clear that Paul has managed to run an exceptionally prosperous business, by retaining 5 jobs, increasing their part-time staff and getting a COVID-19 paycheck protection program for $3000. He now continues to build deep connections with his customers and construction peers, and hopes to soon launch his new product line.
