SBA/SBDC Business Recovery Series: Cash Flow Management and Reporting

SBA/SBDC Business Recovery Series: Cash Flow Management and Reporting

Tuesday, August 11, 2020 10:00am to 11:00am
FREE

Join us for the first installment of this series as we go over business recovery topics.

COVID-19 has opened our eyes to how fragile our cash flow can be.  It is important that small businesses have a plan they can implement to help in times of crisis.  And, for those of us who received EIDL and PPP loans, understanding how those affect your cash flow management and your tax planning is also important.

During this hour we will have someone from the SBA and SBDC share about business recovery. This will include the latest business updates to help your business recover and things to think about when assessing your current cash flow and ways to plan for the future.

The first half hour David Castaneda from Sacramento SBA District Office will provide a brief update of the latest business assistance/funding information including the following and a time for Q&A:

  •  The Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program offered directly from the SBA
  • The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), offered through local lending institutions (until 8 Aug 2020)
  • Assistance available at no cost from our local resource partners, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, Women’s Business Center (WBC), and SCORE
  • SBA programs to access capital
  • Information on federal government contracting programs

And during the final half hour join commercial tax professional and SBDC advisor Joseph Dorko for a discussion of cash flow management ideas and planning (as best we can) for an uncertain future.  Q&A will follow.

  • Important tips for maintaining a healthy cash flow during COVID-19
  • how to plan for tax time
  • managing cash flow
  • EIDL / PPP reporting issues and take questions.

Joseph Dorko is an entrepreneurs and corporate tax professional with over 25 years' experience in management and accounting.   He is the owner of Joseph G Dorko Consulting in Redding, CA.
