Instead of taking chances, take TiPS training! TiPS is a certified program providing the skills to help servers, sellers, & consumers of alcohol how to prevent intoxication, drunk driving, & underage drinking. What TiPS training includes: Recognizing signs of intoxication, Spotting underage drinkers, Intervening quickly & assuredly in potential problem situations, Understanding the difference between people enjoying themselves& those getting into trouble with alcohol, Handling alcohol-related situations with greater confidence, and Using proven strategies to prevent alcohol-related problems. TiPS is skill-based training. By building on an individual’s fundamental "people skills", TiPS provides the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and how to effectively intervene to prevent alcohol-related tragedies. TiPS Benefits: Compliance with state and local regulations; Protection from alcohol liability lawsuits; Decreased penalties for alcohol violations; Better bottom line through lower insurance premiums; Improved customer service and satisfaction; Increased staff professionalism. A test will be given upon completion.

Course fees are due at the time of registration. Seats are not confirmed until full payment has been received. To register & pay by credit card, click on the blue "REGISTER NOW” button and follow the instructions. To pay by check, please make your check payable to Napa Valley College and mail to Napa-Sonoma SBDC, 2277 Napa-Vallejo Hwy, BLDG 3300, Napa, CA 94558. Please note that your payment must arrive before the start of the training to secure your space. All training events require a minimum number of students and, therefore subject to cancellation 48 hours in advance of the training event. Registered students will receive an email at the time of cancellation. All fees are refundable up to 24 hours before the training event.

Parking permits are required.  Permits are $2 per day/cash only or to pay by credit card download the Parkmobile App - Parking Zone #3690). For cash payments (exact amount required– the machine does not give change) a parking permit machine is located in Parking Lot B by the flagpole.  Please observe all campus parking signs.
