Where we are at in terms of marketing plan development: logo exists… no tag line exists (would like one)… content (text) for websites, collateral all exists.

Marketing elements to be developed by contractor include stationary, business cards, ppt templates, flier template (for individual workshop marketing), fax cover sheet template, 1-page success story template, tri-fold brochure template, some sort of glossy collateral piece (approx 8 pages), banner (for wall and/or tabletop) for events

Discussed logos and our need to use the California logo, but not wanting it to be front and center…. Need some sort of visual identity that is standard for all SBDC Center Names—font/color/etc… but don’t want to create a new “logo”
We would like room for regional logo and other sponsor/host at the bottom of the website front page as is the case on www.norcalsbdc.org

What we want to see in for the Initial Design Concepts: 3 different ideas of look/feel presented in whatever format best represents your concept… these should give us an idea of the creative/visual looks you are proposing.

We want open source! No specification on which open source

Translation to multiple languages came up. It should not be included in your concept. We will address it later if at all

We do not want newsletter functionality

I mentioned I would try to draw the relationship in the sites to better illustrate how I want the structure. Took a stab at this and thought it would make matters worse. Did some research and found this is common and is called multisiting. Both Drupal and Website Baker had information on this on their forums.

List of our modules in use;

*News Module that populates the sidebar on the front page
*Links module that can be sorted different ways
*In line frames module
*Forms module
*Sitemap

We will oversee migrating content. We would like 8 hours bid for training and support from the vendor.

Bob is lead on technology and for questions. We will answer within 24 hours. Bob’s work number is best. If not there try my cell.

Our existing intranet works and we would at least want to duplicate it’s functionality.

It has a page that allows easy uploading of files, and a simple clear architecture and search that facilitates finding documents etc.

We want an intranet—mostly for document storage.

Budget: we have a substantial budget. We don’t have a sense of what it will cost to accomplish all of the items we have committed to accomplish, however we will not be surprised by significant quotes. Bottom line… we know we are asking for a lot of things and expect to pay for all these things.
