From deciding how to structure your business, to hiring your first employee or selecting a business name, this workshop will teach you the basics to start, grow, and protect your company. Topics include:

  • A general overview of business entities
  • Employment law and contracts
  • Commercial leases
  • Intellectual property basics (copyrights, trademarks, patents)

This event is held in conjunction with the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, Legal Services for Entrepreneurs (www.lccr.com) - this organization provides pro bono (no charge) services to low-income entrepreneurs.
